President's Day

Happy President's Day Monday!

I realize that I missed Valentine's Day, but honestly who wants to read a blog when they could be spending time with their special someone? Even better, who wants to write a blog when they could be spending time with their amazing significant other? The answer is not me...

Anyway, to celebrate today I thought I would share some appropriately themed images. I must apologize to my fellow Bostonians... I don't have a photograph of Washington atop his horse gracing the entrance to the Public Gardens. I know, WHAT? I'm terrible, please forgive me. I will remedy this deficiency as soon as possible, but in the mean time I have to give you what I've got.

This weekend I saw Federal Hall, where President Washington took the oath of office for the first time in our nation's history. It's a bit nerdy, I'll admit, but I also thought it was pretty awesome. And I'd never seen it before, which made it even better.

Also awesome is today's Times' Op-Art article showcasing the hair styles of our Presidents. Can you name them all?

Jennifer & Ryan - Amherst

There's been quite a few Fine Art and Etsy related posts here lately, so I thought it was time for something a little more wedding related. Just sit back, scroll and enjoy!

A while ago I hopped in my trusty zip car and drove north and west to Amherst for Jennifer and Ryan's wedding. Jennifer got ready in their home while Ryan did his primping else where. I arrived just as Jennifer was finishing up her make up, and she already looked phenomenal.

Jennifer was escorted down the aisle by both her parents, something that I thought was very awesome.
Ryan is so in love. You can see it in the way he looks at her.
Time for some quick posing fun before heading to the reception.
The reception was held at the Amherst Woman's Club which is a warm and inviting place. And so full of personality.
Just look at that furniture. Classic!
The event was catered by Emily's Gourmet to Go and the table was constantly surrounded by people.

Ryan rearranged these stones while they danced together. Isn't he sweet!

Congratulations to Jennifer and Ryan and best wishes. You two are both such fun people and I had a blast!

Summer Lovin'

With the Snowmageddon weekend that just battered the East Coast, I'm not surprised that bayanhippo was dreaming of summer when she put this treasury together. Go take a peek and feel the warmth of my goldenrod Thunderbird print!

Mad Must-See Monday

A few days ago was crazy Feature Friday... which I guess makes today Must-See Monday. My work has been featured in two more treasuries. On top of that, you can check back later today for a sneak peek of something brand new for your mad inspired decor.

We'll start with Nikki of My 7 Kids and her Road Trip treasury. Travel over 5,000 miles, including all the way out to the Supai Motel in Seligman Arizona.

I know, I know... another road trip. It's not my fault I like them! And, what better to drive or see on your road trip than a classic Chevrolet. Crazy Feature Friday

I woke up this morning to a flooded inbox... it was wonderful! Cathleen from Tialey Vintage was a doll and featured my Route 66 print in her Road Trip treasury!Even more fun, Lisa of Lisa B Retro Style featured the treasury and MY print on her blog! Can you tell I'm excited?

For all my Massachusetts folks, Lisa is going to be selling her vintage wares at the Brimfield Antiques Show on the New England Motel Field in May. I've never been to the show, but this year I just might have to go. I'm in love with vintage items...

And last but not least, Alex of Alex Keller Jewelry featured my Goldenrod Thunderbird print in her Beach Boys inspired Fun Fun Fun treasury.

I'm going to be singing the Beach Boys all afternoon...
